Web development is a vast area of knowledge and bunch of course out there some of are paid some are free. As a beginner, the most important job is to decide where to start, and believe me I have that same struggle when I start learning. Today I’m gonna share my best resources for learning web development as a beginner.
In today’s world, there are many developers who have a successful career by choosing web development as a profession. There is a big demand for developers which is increasing day by day. Here is my top list courses about web development –
1. W3Schools ( Free )
W3Schools is a school for developers. It covers all the aspects of web development from beginners to pro. If you are an absolute beginner and want to learn from the scratches then you should definitely start from here. This is the pillar of your web development journey.
2. freeCodeCamp ( Free )
freeCodeCamp is the place where you can get your hands dirty with code. It is also a popular resource for learning web development. You can learn and test your code at the same time. If you wanna be a full-stack developer then this is the best place to learn. They also provide certificates that make you job-ready. Many users have their job pretty quickly and have written about their experiences such as Andrew Charlebois, Gwendolyn Faraday, and Alexander Kallaway.
3. Udemy ( Paid )
Udemy is a great way to learn programming and web development. Udemy offers over 2,000 coding classes and top-rated instructors. You can easily find courses about web development according to your criteria. There a complete courses about front-end, back-end and full-stack, and many more. Here is some popular Web Development Bootcamp by Colt Steele, Andrei Neagoie, and Angela Yu.
4. Scrimba ( Free / Paid )
Scrimba is one of my favorite places to learn to code. Here you can get different courses by well know instructors, teachers such as Ania Kubow, Per Harald Borgen, Kevin Powel, and many more. Here you can learn coding in the most effective way. Scrimba is a platform that provides an interactive screencast where you can learn, watch, practice, and make projects. That’s why I love this platform.
5. Codecademy ( Paid )
Codecademy is an online learning site focus on coding and web development. It is also an excellent place for absolute beginners who don’t know about web development. It provides step by step guide and also helps you when you stuck. They provide beginner-friendly lessons and have courses in each and every language to clear up things.
6. edX ( Free )
edX is a massive online platform for programming. They have a bunch of online courses about web development which are provided by top universities and institutes like Harvard, IMB, MIT. Today about 4,69,452 people are connected with learning on edX. Here you get the opportunities of learning from more than 160 members of universities.
